 Pan-frying works best for thinner fillets and produces a crispier texture. 
 Rinse the cod under cold water to remove any ice crystals, then pat it thoroughly dry with a paper towel.
 Heat a heavy, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with a high-oleic oil, such as olive, canola, or grapeseed oil.
 Place the seasoned fillets in the hot pan and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until lightly browned. Season after the first flip to prevent the spices from burning. reduce the heat to medium, cover the pan, and cook for another 2 to 4 minutes, until the fish is fully opaque and flaky.
